This year’s Annual Conference has raised the bar with education planning. I am very pleased to share with you that the Conference will include a strategic leadership session specifically designed for those of us who have been around our industry for many years. While you heard all about the “Seasoned Administrators” sessions in an earlier blog posting, this session is an extended workshop in collaboration with The George Washington University. Since I have begun removing my exact years of experience from my professional information, and now state my years of experience as 15+ (I originally picked 10+ but my CEO didn’t think that was enough), I can fully relate to this advanced and “strategic” session.
The Strategic Leadership session is a graduate level program from The George Washington University Master’s Program in Law Firm Management. Scheduled on Wednesday, April 17 from 1:45 to 4:30 p.m., this interactive program is a rare opportunity to learn from two George Washington University professors who have a deep knowledge of the legal industry. This session is different and authentic. Learning practical approaches to strategy, change and leadership helps us as leaders not only move our firms forward, but in the right direction. This session will provide another layer of confidence to our own leadership abilities, even for those of us who already consider ourselves “Seasoned to Perfection.”
Having a graduate level session offered at our Annual Conference is extraordinary. It is what we have often asked for and here it is. Remember to register ahead of time so that the case studies used during this session can be sent to you in advance.
Don’t miss this program! I am confident that you will not be disappointed. I hope you will join me — I’ll be the one with the 15+ years of experience.
A great article outlining the dynamic educational offerings for the 2013 Annual Conference. Thanks for sharing, Barb!
I am very excited about the Strategic Leadership session! For any of you who think the conference education no longer has anything to offer you, I encourage you to look at again. The 2013 Conference has some great offerings.
The GW session is a real bonus for our conference! I am 15+ too, and will be for some time…
This is an excellent opportunity to hear from these experts and strategize with your fellow administrators.
I am really looking forward to this session! Kudos to the planning committee for setting this up. The educational opportunities for this conference are really exciting – it’s going to be three very busy days!
