Today’s economy calls for a new way of doing business. In recent years, we have learned that one thing is for certain—just because something has worked in the past, it does not mean it will work in the future. As such, business leaders need to open their minds, shun the “business as usual” convention and start to think innovatively.
This is the gist of the message Peter Sheahan will present during his Annual Conference keynote address, “Fl!p – Turn Challenge into Opportunity and Change into Competitive Advantage,” on Monday, April 15. A best-selling author and expert on business innovation and lasting behavior change, Peter will provide us with inspiration to rethink competitive advantage, and take intelligent risks to innovate and drive change to improve our firms’ bottom line. He believes that when you “flip” your thinking, you can find opportunities where others cannot.
I am not a believer in change for change sake. However, I am always looking for ways for our firm to improve and to constantly raise the bar. I am excited to hear how to think counterintuitively, become empowered, and what positive action steps to take so that our firm will continue to be a success.

I am looking forward to attending this session and hope you are too! What a great way to kick off the Conference!
The only way any of us will survive is if we re-think how our business operates, and think strategically and change.
I absolutely agree Ray! “Get on the bus, or get out of the way!” (Or something like that!)
It’s so true that we get hung up with all the challenges and sometimes it’s hard to see that a challenge may be an opportunity. I am so looking forward to this keynote session with Peter Sheahan! And, for that matter, the whole conference.
So many forget that you have to have good business sense to operate in the legal industry. Great article, Clara. Well done!
I watched the video you linked to in your post. Now I’m excited to hear Peter Sheahan’s message in person as our conference keynote speaker. Love his accent. Is he Australian?
